So, what exactly have we been up to over the past 12 months?

  • 124 performances (this includes an upcoming New Year’s Eve performance)
    averaging out at between 2 and 3 times per week (OK then, 2.384615 times to be precise)
  • 1235 song sings
    averaging out at 10 songs (OK, 9.959677) per performance

What do these numbers tell us? Apart from maybe we have too many numbers, and need to get out more…

They tell us that we played out less times in 2013 than in 2012, but there were more full gigs (as opposed to singarounds and floor-spots) than last year. It’s interesting to look back at last year’s ‘What do these numbers tell us?’ – it says:

“It seems that we should accelerate our writing/learning new songs – we really must get down to spending a serious amount of time recording, and perhaps allocate more time to producing videos…”

Same applies for 2014 – so some serious time management is in the offing. Being the nice folks that we are, we find it difficult to say “no” and not be swayed… but we’re donning our steel hats and saying “Look out, 2014”.
