You know it’s going to be a good week when it starts with an Anthony John Clarke gig – and so it was, we headed off to Guisborough Folk Club for a very enjoyable performance and a wee dram back at home to finish off the night.

Two performances for us this week – a care home in Sunderland and one in Consett… all good enjoyable stuff.

Val’s been busy getting bookings for our August mini-expedition to the Scottish borders – we’re now fully booked, so we can combine performing and R & R every day… just the thing we need before jetting of to America. It’s only three months till we fly from Newcastle to San Diego via Paris and Salt Lake City. Eeekk!! Seems like only yesterday we were still in the early stages of planning.

And while we’re on the subject of R & R we had the pleasure of the company of Steve & Carol of Fool’s Gold fame for an evening of mirth, music, munching, mucho vino and generally putting the acoustic music world to right. We swapped gig and venue notes/experiences, new songs in brief live performances, lighting setups were compared (nice ParBar Mark 3 they have)… we know how to have a good time. And latest CDs were treated to a spin on the jiva super sound system – all sounding good, congrats from the four of us to the four of us.

Aahh – the good life.
